We are grateful for the support of the many private, family, community and trade foundations that view the work of the Fragile Kids Foundation as an opportunity as a part of their mission to create a better world for children and families at risk.
Private and Family Foundations provide funding that has immediate and meaningful impact on programs that reflect their values and priorities. Over the past 20 years, Fragile Kids Foundation has received funds from family foundations for specific program areas such as expansion of the Loaned Equipment Program or aiding children of single caregivers in rural Georgia. Foundations have also supported Fragile Kids in collaborative projects. For instance, the Holly Lane Foundation generously provided a $50,000 grant this year to enable Fragile Kids to work with Childkind and F.O.C.U.S. to aid foster and adoptive families with medically fragile children with the equipment and support programs to empower them for success in caring for their medically fragile children
Civic groups across Georgia have also been wonderfully generous to Fragile Kids Foundation, raising funds through their members, through special events and program grants. Recently the Optimist Club of Newnan, Georgia and the Peachtree City Kiwanis donated a combined $1,250 to sponsor the 4th Annual Ride for the Kids, a motorcycle tour and raffle.
